Texas warrant roundup

Beginning next week on March 7, local officials statewide will begin their annual warrant roundup.  You may have received notice that you have a potential warrant from the courts or you may not have.  Do not assume that if you haven’t received anything that there’s no reason to worry.  Even if you just have a class C ticket warrant, for a missed court date or failure to appear, you could still be picked up. These warrant roundups produce a lot of money for the courts and local agencies.  I’ve seen numbers that suggest there will be nearly 4,000 arrests over the next month.

Austin residents can search for warrants through the county and the city at the following links:

City of Austin Warrants

Travis County Warrants

Potential warrants in other jurisdictions are more difficult to find but contact me and I will see if I can find it for you.  If you or someone you know may have a warrant please contact me right away so we can try to avoid you being picked up from work, school, or home by the police.
