4th of July No Refusal Arrests

No Refusals on every notable holiday have become the norm for Austin and the surrounding area. This year is no different.  The initiative began at 9am this morning and runs through Sunday evening on the roads and the lakes.  Boating While Intoxicated (BWI) arrests are just as common as DWI arrests this time of year.

If you are pulled over in your boat or car, you do not have to do field sobriety tests designed for failure or voluntarily provide a breath or blood specimen.  If the police get a warrant to obtaini a sample, then we can fight the warrant and the results.

If you or someone you know gets into trouble, call me and read this to know what to do next.

Our office will be open this weekend to process any of your jail release needs in Austin.

  • I reached out to Will after finding his name through a Google search. I was not looking for DWI consultation but for unpaid tickets and a suspended license issue.

  • Will got my DWI charge dismissed in lieu of a reduced charge of obstruction of highway passage.
